New commission!🌸

I was so thrilled to meet this couple at the Washington Spirit opening event at the Anthem. On their third date they went to the Jefferson Memorial and they just got engaged! This painting will be in their home and it commemorates their engagement. How lovely is that 🥰 It's been a month of commissions! I was working on a piece while at Eastern Market on Saturday and a friend of mine claimed the piece I was working on. When I finished it I hung it up on my panel. Later that day a customer came by and ordered his own version of the same painting! The flowers on these pieces are painted with pastry bags. I've been working with some heavy body acrylics and they are so fun to work with! Of course they use an enormous amount of paint, but the end result is so fun 🌸
